On 25th of November 1876, ten men met in the office of Dr. J. M. Woods in Streetsville, to consider the advisability of sending forward a petition to the proper authorities seeking the institution of a Masonic Lodge in Streetsville. Their names were: Robert Barber, William Barber, Dr. J.M. Woods, Jas G. Owens, James Breckenridge, William Webb, James Miller, R.T. Grimshaw, Robert Cornish and T.K. Beatty

The first meeting of River Park Lodge was held on March 27th 1877. W. Bro. Robert Barber with elected was and “River Park Lodge” was suggested as the name of the Lodge. Earlier meetings of the Lodge were held in the Oddfellows Hall, a building that contained a suitable room for Lodge. Much later River Park Lodge Building was erected and completed in 1955.
